In 33 days, we will have spent our first night on land in a week. The average top temperature for Bergen on 26 March is 4ºC, and March tends to have ~19 days of rain. Having passed the equinox, we'll be getting more than 12 hours of daylight so plenty of opportunity to explore.
Bergen is surrounded by seven mountains, the highest of which is Mt Ulriken, with an elevation of 643m. There are a few options for getting to the top, including hiking the stairs or taking a cable car. Not far from Mt Ulriken is Mt Fløyen (320m), with another mechanical way up - the Fløibanen funicular. This railway has transported people to the top for over 100 years - it opened in 1918.

Strava tells me there are plenty of popular running routes, from flat runs around the harbour to hilly trail runs. Given Bergen is located in amongst many fjords, there are also many day trips that we could take. Excited to see what life is like in Bergen - it will be tricky to fit it all in with just two days!
